Ray E. Spencer
Author - Screenwriter - Restaurateur
Ray was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida--the city that serves as the location for his novel, Tender Nightmare. He has spent over twenty years in the Hospitality Industry; including, owning a restaurant with his wife, Bonnie, and friends. He graduated with honors and holds a B.A. in English from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Ray is now working on a writing career. Along with his first book, he has completed a screenplay, The Stolen Manuscript: The Dictionary Murders, and is in the final rewrite of a novel by the same title. Plus, Ray has finished the first draft of a screenplay based on Tender Nightmare.
Ray has entered a short story (So...Who Is Responsible?) in the PEN/Amazon.com Short Story Contest. He also wrote an article called, A Wonderful Fat Lady, about the late Jennifer Paterson--co-host, with Clarissa Dickson Wright, of Two Fat Ladies on the Food Network Channel. Ray's piece was chosen by Winetree Publishing as one of six feature articles for the initial issue of their online Wine and Food magazine. The article can be viewed in the "Archive" section of the Amazing Author's award-winning E-Zine. Ray has also edited articles for a Senior Contributor to a fitness magazine for women and assisted on the work of an award-winning poet.
