from the

Amazing Authors Showcase

September 15, 1999

Once again I'd like to thank all of you for dropping by our web site, and/or for joining our mailing list. Your efforts to get the word out about this site have really helped to build our traffic. The Showcase now represents a truly eclectic list of amazing writers from around the world who have joined our ranks. With the outstanding web representation and your efforts to promote our contests, writers and stories, this is a trend we are quite sure will continue.

If you've not done so, tell your friends about the site and give them a link or the following url so they can come and visit. The proper url (universal resource locater) for Amazing Authors is:

GUEST BOOK ENTRIES:

Many of our Showcase writers have been overwhelmed by the responses to their pages, their stories, and especially their guest book entries. We thought we would include some of those comments for everyone's enjoyment:

Patricia Cox to Pepper Raines: I sent our web page address to work so I could open it on a REAL computer. Man, I am even MORE amazed. It's BEAUTIFUL!!! You've done an absolutely fantastic job!!!

Lena to Mark Mann: Mark, the webpage merely hints on the brilliance of your writing. Keep the novels and short stories coming...they are a treat to all who have the opportunity to read them. Best wishes and congratulations.

Natasha Ivanva (Kolpino, Russia) to Jon Baxley: Previet! Kak-dyela? Thank you for inviting me to offer my opinion about book you are writing. Over the next week or so I will read this and send you email. Pahka, Tasha

Paula to Pepper Raines: I enjoyed your pages! I admire your work. I hope to become a part of your showcase someday.

Julie Farrow to Pepper Raines: So nice to see your work, Pepper. And, of course, it shows in these beautiful web pages that you do. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your work. Keep your dreams in the forefront.

Cindy to Becky McGraw: Your writing about N'Orleans is so well done! Makes me yearn for a 'to go' package from the Cafe' DuMonde and a time machine.

Charles Hackenberrry to Patricia Cox: Read Trish's first chapter . . . and will come back and read more later. She keeps improving at this rate, she'll outsell everybody.

Anita White to Julie Farrow: I loved this book. Couldn't wait each night to get home to read the book and see what happened next to the characters. By the end I felt like I was on the adventure too. Can't wait for the next book.

Kisten to Julie Farrow: Hello Julie, I just visited your website and I'm definitely going to buy your book. Keep up the good work. Tommyboy sent me your page and I'm glad he did.

Debbie to Julie Farrow: You did a wonderful job on this book and hoping the next will be just as wonderful, they did you up very well on this home page. Love ya.

Patty to Julie Farrow: I read Julie's first novel and it was a great inspiration to me. I have longed to write a book my entire life, and knowing Julie personally was all the push I needed to begin my own. Her inspiration stopped my procrastination and enabled me to take that first step towards beginning my own novel.

Mark to Cynthia Hayworth: I went to the same high school Cindy went to and I am glad to know that I know someone else who will eventually be on the NYTBSL. With work like this, it won't be long for her......I'm envious!

Jim Etheridge to John Darling: You have a great idea going on here for exposure for the authors and their books. I just want to wish all of you great success.

OTHER NEWS:

Pepper Raines reports that "hits" on the Amazing Authors Showcase have continued to climb since the site opened August 1. This great traffic is due in large measure to Pepper's tireless efforts to promote the site web-wide. Let her know you appreciate the efforts. You can also help build the exposure by listing the Amazing Author's url as a reference any time you sign a guest book or register on another writer's site. You can even hand out links in chat rooms, if you'd like. The more links, the better!

If you have news of your own writing exploits or something you think will be of value to the Amazing Authors readership, please send the information to be included with the next newsletter, which should be in the mail around the first of October.

Until next time, we wish you all success in your writing and creative efforts!
