: I think this book is too long. It uses too many big words, too. I couldn't get through the introduction. No pictures, either. What's the deal?
If you want a book with pictures, I'd advise you to look in the "little kids section" at your library. lol. The words weren't that big and yes the book was a bit boring in the beginning; on page 500 (I'm not sure what page exactly) Mitya is going through some rough times, later as we know he kills his father. (That's where I am now and he's thrown himself at Grushenka's feet). I like the book a lot. I thought it was interesting but when I got to page 500 I realized it was quite boring compared to the rest. It is quite long but I don't want the book to end now!!! LoL! I've grown attached to little Alyosha. No one at school really reads Russian Literature. I love it!!! I read Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky and I'm currently on Karamazov. I want to read all of Dostoevsky's books he's my favorite author. I don't want brother's karamazov to end now. I've grown so attached to the characters! I have to watch the movie and read the book over again. I'm going to read Tolstoy's War and Peace ... one of these days...
