: Is this a quote from a Shakespeare play, or some
: other writing.
: Thx.

From Hamlet I think, William Shakespeare wrote:
What a piece of work is man!
How noble in reason.
How infinite in faculties.
In form and moving, how express and admirable.
In action how like an angel.
In apprehension, how like a god.
The beauty of the world.
The paragon of animals
"Man, the Killer Angel" is from the book "Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara, about the Civil War battel at Gettysburg. This is a quote of Lawrence Chaimberlain recalling his school days, and a discussion with his father. He recited "what a piece of work" to his father who replied "well boy, if he's an angel, he's sure a murdurin' angel." Lawrence went to school and made an oration on the subject, entitled: Man, the Killer Angel.
