I think it's definitely a reflection of how she is feeling at the time - she's confused at Othello's rudeness to her, but being so much in love with him she faults herself before him. She's not aware how ironic the song lyrics are (couch with moe women, you'll couch with moe men) because she doesn't find out exactly why Othello is treating her like this till the final scene. It's basically a premonition to the audience of what is to come - if you've heard the music, it sounds like a mourning song - it's in a minor key.
