Femal gods have cloths on, that's Y when u go to a temple u c silk clothing wrapped around the statues.

The ones with no clothing or barely any r the apsaras.

and mind u in an ear when people didn't have cotton they had only silk.
and u can't exacly tailor a jean and shirt out of the most expensive thing out then. they had to use as little as possible using to cover the most important parts. lol.

The rest were covered with ornaments.

U c there is a difference, between how Hindus treat and How Hinduism tells hindus to treat woman. After the invasion of Islam into India, they took a step back in evolution to save their women. Now only they r slowly coming out of it.
