: In the western world the vast majority of people are extroverts, people clearly like to go social events where there are lots of other people...partying, drinking, football etc. This has become the norm. If this happens not to be you (for whatever reason)and you dare to be yourself, then you are going to be viewed as something of an oddity. People will find you weird.
: It is a tricky problem. Ideally we should accept people who are different to us, maintaining respect for individuality and cultivating racial tolerance, but it isn't so easy to put into practice.
: We like people to be like us and feel threatened if they are not. If we could find a way to overcome our fears and "play together nicely" in spite of our differences, well, then I think the world would be a happier place and we could lay down all our weapons and have world peace.
: But sadly the world has not yet reached that level of maturity, and I rather doubt it ever will.
