Moral relativism by it's very nature contradicts itself by stating "everything is relative" and therefore, no universals exist. the simply argument agaisnt that claim is that if everything is relative that claim itself is a unviersal.

however, someone could then claim: "well morality is relative to the particular society one lives in" or relative to this or that or to perception or belief or what ever.

the major problem with relativism is that it's incoherent. for example if you say "morality is relative" and I say "morality is universal" according to moral relativism - we are both correct, however, this simply cannot be the case - it can't be both completely relative and completely universal simultaeously.
