Dark or light - the matter of matter matters only if one's awareness is shifted to it. For example a rock is heavy only if one tries to lift it. Leave it alone it may not really matter.
All our notions that Space and Time & Ma ss and Energy are realities only - this is taken for granted.
What if it turns out that all these are only notional or imaginary?
While conservation of Ma ss and Energy are axiomatic truths we have not really investigated the mechanism of the "why" of it all.
Space getting curved or strained due to presence of matter gives rise to gravity & Black holes are no exception to these fundamental truths.
And, all these matters really matter only so long the human mind that investigate is kept alive through all aspects of living like food,fun, travel,sports,fitness,family,health,justice,education,etc... Hence the subjectve element is perhaps more crucial than the objective factors under investigation as such investigation is only one aspect of many such multi-dimensional multi-directional investigations going on at dfferent locations at different points of time.
Contemplative self-inquiry as to " To Whom" these things matters - is probably the most fundamental qiestion to be answered.
Unfortunately scientists & philosophers keep looking at such things fragmentally instead of working together to decipher the truth of it all.
