I differ slightly from your standpoint that there could be only two objectives as outlined by you.There might be a way by which a philosophy professor may be able to sit face to face with some living sage like Mr Stephen Jourdan (The book titled Radical Awakening doents some of his wonderful perceptions after a total awakening)and hope to get a deeper insight, which can be more meaningful than just mere academic pursuits.
I won't call it a scientific investigation. It would probably be like sharing perceptions of a dynamic reality through a living sage who is also genuine and explore the available tools of investigation to try and explain.
I have had my personal exposure to some of the living saints on this side of the globe, in addition to reading a great many of them. Putting it all together, the computer-supercomputer model as I proposed more or less could accommodate most of the ideas, though validation or substantiating with solid proof would be beyond me,of course.
I personally prefer hard copies to webpages, owing to the inherent advantages therein.
I certainly would love to enlighten myself more through your splendid ysis and logic, if they are found to be within my grasping power.
