"Who" comes prior to knowing "Where", because such questions arise to and get answered by "I" belonging to someone or another.
All appearances and disappearances engage our attention and we get involved as it happens while we are watching a movie, for example.
While the appearnces and disappearances of forms,shapes,colors,scenes,characters,events,plces,etc.. is virtual only the screen at the background remains real. But no one ever perceives the truth of the screen while watching a movie of virtual images. Feelings may get stirred, one may feel sad, angry or delighted and move to the edge of the chair in great suspense and drama and forget one's real state of just being.
Sooner or later, only the illuminating light emerge as the only reality and even the screen will vanish as one perceives the truth of the illuminating light. When this happens one has transcended "space".
Space and time are both virtual notions appearing simultaneously out of nowhere and the whole panorama of life and the cosmos appears owing to our mistaking "I" to be the body-mind apparatus, instead of perceiving it to be the spark of the "Light".
Instead of asking "Where are you?" we might ask "Who am I" .
