What was Augustine’s ysis of wrongdoing (sin)? What is the usual situation in which we do wrong—i.e., how does it relate to the recognition of what is good? How is the episode with the pears untypical of most wrongdoing, according to Augustine? How does his view of this matter compare with Plato’s view of wrongdoing? Should we agree with Plato or with Augustine on the voluntariness of wrongdoing? Why?
