Well sorry Jenny that I'm writing you so late but I didn't know this homepage.
U know N. never wanted to be a philosopher. He termed himself in Ecce Homo (maybe you know that) as Fate of philosophie. In reality it came the other way round. Just because of that fact he critisised the old European philisophy. For him that was poison for the normal people. It was sick and ill. He couldn't understand their thoughts so he meant that they want to tempt the people. But when I tried to put out his thoughts he developed his own direction which you know as Nihilism (everything is freedom, you can because you want) He never wanted to create a kind of religion like Plato or Sokrates. Sokrates wanted to reform the Greek state and was because of the fear of a revolution executed. Also his pupil Platon tried to set philosophers as kings (maybe you have read his book "Politeia"). Nietzsche lived in Switzerland and had no contact to the rest of the world. These are just a few points why he disgusted the loyal philosophy of Platon and Sokrates.

Hope this information helps

Séphan
