Can you please help me.
As part of a research project into the importance of Mathematics I am trying
to locate the source and actual quote from one Kant, The empiricists or Rationalists which says something to the effect that
" mathematics (and logic??) is the only science?? that has never had to retrace
it's path".
I was sure that Kant made this ertion but I picked up The Critique of Pure Reason for the first time in 25 years and couldn't find what I wanted.
Can you please give me the source and the overall quote?
Ron
