I have lived aboard a 47 Sailmaster for the last 5 years moving from a 4 bedroom three car garage with spa and pool home. I kept waiting for the "space issue" to happen. Never did. Solid, seaworthy, I have had her in serious stuff and she keeps on ticking. In 60 Knot winds on the bow, can still power against at 7 knots. I sail the Channel Islands off the west coast but preparing her for south pacific. Check out old Cruising Magazine articles (almost every edition), "Chez Nous" sailed with family of four for 16 years. He moved up and by the articles he writes he wish he had not. Good luck. Mike
