I have to say that I would much rather be in Gilead, as there, if there is any crime, it is dealt with without termination of an idea, while in Oceana, the ideas that Winston holds against the party is eventually drilled into him , and once it is at then end, he is then exterminated, as they are teaching others that if they do the same, there state of mind will be exterminated, and thats alot more scary !
