That was a gem of a beautiful poem. You use your words very artfully.
I got a real kick out of it, thank you so much for sharing
it with us. A beautiful and humorous work. Bravo.
Sincerely,
Joanne Collot
: Leftovers
: by LiBbey Joplin
: You dinned on my heart,
: Babe..
: You, left it in the fridge,
: but I guess leftovers are best?
: I've dared to be irrelevant, for you
: Babe.
: You know: Peace, love and rock'n roll.
: ?How I dare to roll,
: to rail,
: to be rile'd?
: what's, waht's real...?
: Love seems a cheap imitation,
: Or maybe an imaginary scene dipped in honey.
: Or ah Waht?
: Of what else, but primal pain.
: I'll miss the bliss.
: The night's whiskey'd hue
: bound me from all confusion,
: before you tump me before it starts,
: Yet all again.
: Babe you're--Pain, endured..
: A temporal bust of carnivorus loveliness,
: aka sutra something etc,
: & non-sensical dues,
: however much fraught
: with and without fuss.
: A half eaten heart--Sigh..
: Sits in the fridge humming: "what have you,
: can you give,
: As to love?"
: Love?
: what IS "I" a verb-toy,
: Growing done in beer and nuts.
: Love?
: A bed'd SENSE OF EMOTION
: OF WAHT-- One?
: Then ME as a faded fading so too..
: Get a Life..?
: Chiefly my own known as,
: A half eaten leftover heart?
: What does love spell?
: And then waht the hell?
: I am a frosted whisky'd breath,
: sitting a stump leaning into
: Dawn's first rays.
: Everything looks the same,
: Babe.
: Ain't I,
: and i,
: a will to drop a note in
: fast frosted rambling wounds...
: that be in truth,
: your rich hot grooves--Nix'd..
: Just ((MY)) self pleading blue.
: Yeah, you told me so.
: Yeah, my LOVE served me up my
: Heart bit by bit,
: And dared me to be irrelevant;
: then left me cold--heart in hand.
: I'm alright,
: I still got what's left me.
: My heart in a pot.
: I'll just warm it up in the microwave.
: MY LOVE..
: Peace, blue bells and rock'n roll.
