: I'm telling everybody about my new favorite novel. It's a crazy book entitled 'Rastus Reilly OR Hammett, ens, Lovecraft, Laurel, and Hardy on Bad Acid'. This one is a real screamer. There are tributes and/or affectionate parody of the subtitle notables but in fact this seems to be a parody of Literature, and western culture, in general. The plot has to do with a search for eternal youth but the whole point of the book is laughs. So if you love to laugh you will read this over and again. If you're of a serious nature it's surely not for you. My own opinion is that 'Rastus Reilly' is a born humor clic.
