The text of the Requiem is taken from the latin composition of the italian medieval friar 'Tommaso da Celano' (and the exact title is 'Dies irae'). Lacrimosa is just one segment of the whole poetic composition! This text has been widely used in religious music for Requiem pieces. Another famous instance of the musical use of this text is the Requiem M by Giuseppe Verdi, the famous opera composer!

: A catholic church and its priest may be a good source for the complete text!

: Kind regards from Italy! Vito!
