: Darius Milhaud, great 20th century French composer, referred to (much of) Brahms' music as "overblown greatness". There is much truth to that statement, as many other musicians are beginning to see Schumann's works as being more inspired and containing a deeper spirituality. When Schumann's works are as heavily recorded as those of Brahms, we will be able to get a better picture of Schumann's true greatness. : Jack
