: i do have the new zoroastre, but i've only listened to act 1/beginning of act 2. mark padmore sounds as good as ever in his lovely opening act 2 tenor aria. many people seem to think rameau's best operas, though, are les indes galantes and les boreades.
Hi, 'hope you don't mind me crashing the party, but I stumbled accross this website in the midst of searching for Rameau operas conducted by William Christie that are either NOT YET out of print, or otherwise available through other means. All I've been exposed to, is older recordings with big romantic voices and singing styles, and overblown orchestras to boot. Most of what interests me is now no longer available. Any ideas?
