I just checked this website for the first time and don't know if you were already answered since you posted your notice. Mahler is buried in the Grinzinger Friedhof in suburban Vienna together with his daughter "Putzi." I believe that this cemetery was chosen because it was a non-denominational burial place and is in the suburbs where Mahler intended to retire and build a home after earning enough to live on (together with his pension from the Vienna Opera)as director of the New York Philharmonic. I had the privilege of visiting the gravesite in August, 1969 when I was 17 years old. --Warren Malach/Brucknerfan@aol.com
