I'd like to introduce myself to the group and say hello. I've just published a book about the disappearance of an original Mahler mcript of "Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen" in 1905 and it's recent discovery at Sothebys auction house in Vienna. The mcript had been given by Mahler to my grandfather and was stolen by the s in 1941 from a safe where it had been hidden. It is currently the subject of a lawsuit in Vienna. I spent several years searching through archives all over the world and was able to piece tgether the story of what happened which i think will be of great interest to any Mahlerites. To read more about the book and to link on to some other sites go to www.losttotheworld.com
Best Regards to all Mahlerites,
Tom Adler

Henry-Louis de La Grange---biographer of Gustav Mahler describes " Lost to the World" as a "tragic family saga of one of Gustav Mahler's best friends... A horrifying tale of Austria's darkest years... Intensely absorbing"
