Unfortunately the original Canon in D was not for piano, but for three violins, cello or viola da gamba, and a keyboard instrument such as harpsichord. I believe that you can find facsimiles of the score online, but it may be tough. Then look for a piano transcription (not arrangement) that has the same number of measures as the original score. That won't guarantee that it's a literal transcription--but if the number of measures doesn't match, you can be sure it's not the same as the original!
