Fortunately, this is a general forum where anything can be discussed. I've been trying for a long time to find a forum where other people have an interest in contemporary classical music, not because I know a lot about the subject myself - I don't - but because I have a pretty active interest in a small number of modern composers who I consider to be important. Being British, I'm frequently exposed to the music of people like Thomas Ades, Mark Anthony turnage, Sir Harrisson Birtwistle, James McMillan and Sally Beamish. From what I've heard, the British scene alone is incredibly exciting and diverse, so there must be a huge amount of great new music out there waiting to be heard - and in some cases waiting to be performed. I'd be glad to hear of any recommendations you may have.
