I had forgotten that she was the soloist on Maestro Hogwood's Messiah! In that case, I cannot praise her highly enough. She sounds like a folk singer, not an opera singer--and that's a high compliment in this music!
I don't suppose you know where I could get that recording? I've been searching for years. I first heard it on a friend's cette player when it first came out. What a revelation! What clarity! Especially since I have heard, and played and sung in, so many unhistorical performances. Any info would be appreciated.
