Warren, I feel that not enough justice was served in my original post above - that is, providing my impressions...
Bought this DVD months before i could play it - it was just a feeling that i had to have it! I can tell you watching it for the first time was a captivating experience, awe-inspiring, sublimed throughout the entire 67 minutes that seemed only 20! In the end, an altered and elevated state of consciousness - a transcendence impossible to put into words, an experience permanently stored in my genes. Such is the power of Anton Bruckner's music and this disc!
The viewing, done on a small 12.1 inch screen laptop Apple computer with built in CD/DVD player (connected to a pair of external 3 watt active speakers) did all this! Imagine the effects on much larger (TV) screen with full digital surround sound system!
As for his unfinished symphony, i can just imagine the imposing and horrifying mountains of Patagonia - referred to as the mountain of gods (i know, it's in Chile, not Austia) and large, famous cathedrals of the world "representing" Bruckner's monumental and terrifying 9th as Noxos' next (very expensive) project!
