Warren, and fellow Brucknerians... Those who like Celibidache's Bruckner, there's good news, good news indeed! His recordings started appearing on DVD's. I've only seen one of them - his Choral music (Te Deum, i believe). Not attracted to Choral music - (with few notable exception and Bruckner NOT being one of them - go figure!), I didn't buy that DVD (already have them on CD). Hopefully we'll see his symphonic recordings on DVD in short order - for i can hardly wait to get his early-mid symphonies (#3 through 6). Also long overdue and nice to see is Karajan's glorious recordings of the 7th and 8th (88-89 DG Telemondial) with the distinguished VPO "sound" on DVD and the magisterial man himself at the helm. Hopefully i get to see the DVD's before my departure from this planet! As for the 9th, 9th presents a problem... for i like Karajan's 1976 DG interpretation very much (Giulini's also) and not sure if either of those were filmed. Karajan's 9th on Sony VHS recoded on a different occasion however is not the same "feeling" as his 1976 DG. Wand's 9th perhaps?
