Bruckner seems to do this constantly throughout his music--between first and second subjects, at the development's beginning as Severius stated, before the recap, and especially and most dramatically just before his awesome conclusions. More than any composer after the Middle Ages and before the 20th century, he sensed the Divine in all life--and makes any listener with any sensitivity sense Him too.
