Sounds like the beginning of a treatise... No, just some impressions. Several minutes before the m begins, one can here the muffled sound of the organ (if the church has one) which utters a powerful accord when the bells ring and the clergy enter the presbytery. This quite resembles the beginnings of Bruckner's symphonies, is it? I guess, 90% of them start with strings tremolo and the principal theme announces the outset of the Action.

Another moment of the m which I love is the "finale" - when the priest says "The M is ended, go in peace". After that you leave the church to dive into the world of joys and pions with peace in your heart. This moment approaches not unlike any of Bruckner's codas - from far away and solemnly. And when the Action is ended, I can't help but whisper: "Thanks be to God!"

That's it.
