Although i have mentioned this few years ago (on another similar forum... now discontinued), i will state once again for new fans of B.
While working in Phoenix, AZ. in 98-99, i bought this remarkable video on B's life at Borders bookstore. This 133 minute long film is a delight for all B devotees and newcomers alike. The video is very informative with beautiful images of his home town, Ansfelden, St. Florian, Vienna, etc.. along with excerpt of various symphonic performances, etc, to the political battle of anti-wagnerian force.. This is probably the fastest way to learn about the Master in 2 hours, don't miss it!
P.S. you might want to check it out at Amazon.com since it may be difficult to find at you local bookstore. I've seen this video series of most of other composers here in Montreal, but not of Bruckner (no, it's not sold out). I hate this!
