Glad to have you on board!

In addition to his eleven symphonies, Bruckner also wrote much choral music, both unaccompanied and with instruments. His Te Deum is especially fine. I like the old Bruno Walter recording; although it's not even stereo, the sound is still good, and the singing and playing are wonderful.

I'm not familiar with any of his organ music, but I've read that he was second only to Bach as an organ improviser. I have also heard AB wrote a fine string quartet.

As to why he was neglected for so long, I suspect he was a victim of his own modesty. Also, his unashamed Christianity may put many people off. But perhaps, like Gustav Mahler, he knew his time would come.
