Bruckner wrote many secular Choral Works that are unknown for most people. For example when he was leader for the male choir Frofsinn in Linz. Examples are "Abendzauber" for four french horns male choir tenor and yodelers (recorded by Tiurtle Creek Chorale and Fort Worth Br, Dallas). "Das Deutsche Lied" for br players and male choir (at the same CD). "Germanenzug" for br plaers and male choir and br (recorded on Albany). But there are many many more and not all of them have names that sound suious after the war.
