: My name is Brian Brubaker, My message is that ther is to much religon, and not enough Christ. People are beating down by religon, stuffy, puckered faced mean people,. I like to let people know that Jesus is not rules and regulation, but love and forgivness. Don't miss understand me, but we need to learn the differance between judging people and there actions. Please. If you have any question on the bible or this statment please email me at, BMrbb@aol.com thank you for your time brian...
: Thank you, Brian, for bringing up this point. To be honest i'm not a Catholic, I don't ascribe myself to any religion, though I am very religious. I just stumbled upon this page while searching for a Ignatius bible as I don't currently have a bible... Anyways, I would like to add that Christ taught the path to Freedom in Truth. That is just what heaven is-absolute freedom, And that includes freedom from the rules of religion. When you reach a very holy/pure state, you don't need to follow rules because you do so naturally, and eventually the rules of God become your rules, you made them, because you are God. "Ye are all gods." If you read St. John of the Cross, you'll find that he says at the very end of the journey to the top of the mountain (he uses the metaphor of Mt. Carmel) you must abandon God as well, for he is just a name, and belief in him is just another bond to the finite human mind, the last bond to be cut, but a bond nonetheless. this is why the buddhists, especially zen, have no name or concept of god. I hope I don't get a lot of angry emails for writing this, but I'm just repeating the words of the prophets(plural, Christ wasn't the only one) and the saints.
