I, too, am new to a chat room. In response to Bob's request regarding whether or not Luther included James in his translation, yes he did include it. He included Hebrews, James, Jude and Revelation in his translation, but he put them at the end and failed to note their page numbers in the index. He wrote a preface to James stating that he contradicts Paul's preacing on justification by faith. This web site might be of help to you in your search. http://gbgm-umc.org/umw/james/Background/Canon.htm Hopes this helps. Good luck
t: Hello -- I'm new to I-net -- never been in a chat room -- looking for salvation (or urance of it) -- thought Martin Luther might be able to help -- I am also interested in following inquiry found on your site:
: "I need a quote from Luther about the "faith without works is dead" portion of the Epistle of James; also, did Luther include James in his translation of the Bible?"
: Please help if possible -- Thank you -- Bob
