i read this copy of dave hunts point of veiw. there are a couple of things that do not make sense to me.
1. "sitting on many seas" and then seas is explained as peoples. rome doesn't fit that one near as well as several other cities
2. a city so wealthy that all of the men that make their living by trading on the sea will weep when she is destroyed. That for sure does not fit rome. New york is a 100 times richer than rome ever was. when a bank in Japan wants to transfer even 10 cents to a bank accross the street it has to go through new york.
3. revalations is full of allegories and metaphores. why does city all of a sudden have to be litteral.
I am not saying that new york is the great harlot- i am only saying that it doesn't fit rome exactly either.
