Basically faith trumped over reason when it came to matters 'above us'. God through his Word reveals himself and His work in Christ. Faith takes hold of what many times reason will consider foolishness. But in earthly matters such as work, play, sleep, eat, natural sciences, math, government etc. reason has its proper home.
