"When she tells him of her love, he twists it into something less pure..."Twist women's love and men's will ever be." What he is saying is that women fall in love to easily. For a man to confess his love is not common, therefore it is more meaningful or "pure." A women's therefore isn't."
I believe that this may be an incorrect ysis of the last line as the poem reads "'Twixt" rather than "Twist". This would show that the speaker in the poem is saying that the contrast between the love of a woman and the love of a man is similar to the way in which the purity of the air is contrasted to the purity of angel's wings. That, in fact, the love of a woman is very different from that of a man.
