For the most part when Erasmus quoted scripture he quoted it from memory, meaning he was frequently inaccurate. It does not make him evil. Evil would be someone like me putting "Just Kidding" in a postscript in all the bibles.

: I consider Erasmus to be a very evil person, since he added to the bible. He wrote that there are three in heaven who bear witness, and added it to'scripture'. Erasmus wrote 1 John 5:7, it is false.It comes from this person who added to scripture, that verse is deceiving, and God is the great Judge. That was never in original text, Erasmus put it there.
