When Lucy visits Mr Tumnus for the first time in his cave she has sardines on toast with him, where does he get the sardines from? He must live quite close to the site of the lampost because he got Lucy home unseen so he is too far away from the sea to fish for himself, but he is also working for the white witch, who is not fond of the sea because of aslan who lives over it in the east, and i doubt she would let fish trade.
