: Jonah was the son of Amittai, if you go to II KINGS 14:25 we see that either he (jonah) or his father (or both) was the prophet from Gath-hepher. With the location of the comma in the english translations I have read ( I do not read Greek or Hebrew) it looks like the father was the prophet and not Jonah. Can anyone confirm, disaffirm, or explain this to me?
