: I agree it can be tiring - but we are talking a 2 hour stint at most at a Wal-mart with less than 100 people, and she had just started. Rather than answer a question she just kept ignoring and looked on.
That does seem a bit on the odd side, but was that the first stint of the day and how long had she been on tour? Could be she had been on tour several weeks and was weary of it all. Not very fair to you and the others in line, I agree. These publishers need to schedule these tours in sections to let the authors decompress a bit every week or two.
: Ref. the ending, it's not her becoming a Zelandonia that bothered me, it's just the boring ending just seemed so abrupt. It was missing something. Just felt worse than a cliff hanger. Seemed to lack good ending substance.
Got me there. I think she should have told Jondalar and gotten his reaction, which we know would have been acceptance because of his love for her. But then Auel could have thought that that would have been understood and decided to save that for the beginning of the next book.
