Just wanted to correct you. That was the Clan Gathering, not the Mamutoi Summer Meeting that didn't have as many people as lived at the Ninth Cave. TMH talks about 30 camps attending the Meeting. At approximately 30 people per camp that's about 900, a lot more than what lived at the Ninth Cave, which was about 200. And while I thought the book was overly wordy with descriptions I do think it was really good story, but then I'm just a romantic sap.:)
Of all of the Zelandonii people, (and don't forget the Mamutoi summer meeting didn't have as many people as lived at the Ninth Cave alone)
