This happened to me in 1998 when i was caught for petty theft also. It wasn't entirely my fault but i stood up to the crime. I payed a lot of money that i didn't have at the time tward fees of court, and the store for where i lifted. Total it was probably about 300.00. But the courts do not go easy on anyone especially theft. Don't think your the exception and that they will take it off your record poof because it won't and i think it stays on your record for 5 years but i am not sure. It stinks to have it on your record especially if you are hunting for a a lot of places turn you down and you might as well get use to saying "do you want fries with that" because if you have a they can let you go if they find out and if not apply to your nearest fast food because they are the only ones that will hire you. It's a tought road, not worth it at all especially if you want your life to go places and no one will ever trust you again.
